Loading Platforms are used on construction sites for shifting and transfer of materials at different levels of the building. It can be installed and demounted conveniently. It is an efficient and safe transporting technique. 

Cantilevered Loading platforms are used in multi-storey structures to crane heavy building material or scaffolding material into the structure. They are steel structures with designated load capacities with quick and easy installation and relocation ability.​

Loading platforms are all fitted with fixed safety harness points, which allow loads of decking material to be vertically stacked and rolled in and out as needed. This has resulted in the increased efficiency of material handling as well as being much safer and cost-effective for construction companies. to minimize any hindrance to crane ropes and loads, significantly increasing safety, and by vertically stacking the units this further increases the efficiency of materials handling and crane productivity.  ​

The loading platform is used to transfer cargo and materials to the upper floors during the floor construction of high-rise buildings. 
It is fast and easy to assemble, safe and flexible to use, suitable for the buildings under tower crane construction, therefore it is a piece of indispensable material-transferring equipment for modern high-rise buildings' construction. It consists of a steel prop, fixed frame, retractable platform, guardrail, safety door, etc.

Pre – Construction Requirement of Loading Platform

• Loading platforms are used on construction sites for shifting and transfer of materials at different levels of the buildings.
• It can be installed and demounted conveniently.
• It is an efficient and safe transporting technique.
• The location of the loading platform is decided and mentioned on the approved drawings.
• Plant area around the loading platform will be kept cleared and cleaned for the smooth and safe lifting operation during work progress.
• All erection will be carried out under the supervision of a qualified Supervisor.

Installation Procedure of Loading Platform

• Site Engineer to make sure all the materials required for fixing and installation of loading platforms are available at the site.
• Make sure that the civil structure is complete and the area of installation is cleared to receive all the materials.
• Make sure all the erection team is available at the site and ready for installation. HSE induction for the erection team is a mandatory requirement.
• Tower crane will be used for lifting the pre-fabricated loading platforms or its section as applicable.
• Platform will be held stationary with a tower crane during the fixing process.
• Platform will be adjusted to its designated location, according to approved drawings.
• 5 m part of the platform will rest on the floor slab.
• 5 m part will be projected.
• 12 to 15 props will be fixed on both sides of the platform up to slab soffit.
• U-head will be used to hold the soldier beam at top of the jack which will support the slab.
• Approved drawings showing all the fixing details will be followed.
• Cross bracing will be provided to support the jack at the top.
• Tower cranes will release the platform once all the props are provided and ensure that these are fully tightened.
• Handrails will be provided to the projected portion of the platform.
• All the installation procedure will be carried out under qualified supervisor and strict safety regulations.
• Third-party inspection will be conducted to get a clearance certificate before using the platform.​

   2)  Fixed Loading Platform
   
   The Fixed (standard platform) is a basic platform for general applications. These platforms are typically used in situations where retractability is not required. The platform provides a convenient means of access for equipment and material to the floor. 
   
   The compact outboard of the loading deck suits smaller jobs with limited space. The deck in total only requires 2.8 m x 2.26 m of space inside the building. Acting as a temporary working platform, the deck increases site safety and productivity, all whilst reducing labor time and costs.
