Here are general questions to know if client wants A, to load from ground to the container B, Dock to the container

How do you load/unload containers at the moment? *

Get to know pain point and time and effort taken to load/unload containers

Determine the workable heights

1, Do they own the trucks or are they third party trucks? *

2, Approximate workable ranges? (If client does not know and it is GCC then it is 1.4 m to 1.7m)? *

3, How many containers would be loaded on a month? *

If less than 45 containers per month then go for Standard else Extreme

4, The distribution of frequency of loading/unloading *

Crowded? Evenly? Other

Means are the loading/unloading done together like 20 containers one day then none for month or evenly like 2 containers per day

What is the kind of forklift? *

Diesel Electric Petrol

What is the wheelbase and clearance? *

What is the capacity of the forklifts to be used? *

Payloads Weights and Size

What are the Payloads weights and dimensions? *

Modifications required to level off? *

Yes No

If the payload is large like 4 to 6 m modifications would be required for level off.

Possible lengths of level off *

Manual or Automated

(Enquire if they have heavy traffic for loadings/unloadings) Do they want Manual/Automated Jacks? *

If more than 5 containers per day, OPTIONALLY they would want to go for hydraulic or PowerJack (semi automatic)

Moving or Stationary

Is the ground hard (interlock) or muddy? *

Does client want stationary/movable? *

Determine the Loading Sequence

Do they require L-shaped Loading? *

L-Shape loading can save companies loading 20 ft container considerable amount of money

Vehicle Restraint

How is the client restraining trailers? *

If you do not have trailers try wheel chocks

Removable railings required? *

Yes No

Removable railings helps to take large items from side of the ramps

Do they keep container and leave the front unit? If yes do they prefer flat front flaps? *

Third Party Certification

Do they need Third Party Certification? *
